Democratic congressional candidate Pia Dandiya says she will run for an open seat representing Florida’s 22nd Congressional District. That means shifting away from an effort to challenge incumbent U.S. Rep. Brian Mast, a Stuart Republican.
“I’m deeply grateful to the thousands of supporters throughout Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast who have believed in this campaign from the very beginning,” Dandiya said.
“This decision came after a great deal of thought and reflection. Ultimately, redistricting fundamentally reshaped the political map, raising the stakes to flip the House in November. Over and over again, I hear from voters who want a representative who will legislate for the future, bring people together and serve as a real check on the Trump administration. That’s exactly the kind of leadership I will bring to the newly formed 22nd District.”
