Democrat Pia Dandiya has crossed the $2 million mark toward her bid for Florida’s 22nd Congressional District, according to her campaign, which is touting a $515,000 haul in the second quarter — her strongest fundraising period yet.
Dandiya, a former high school principal, White House fellow and public strategies lead at Apple, enters the Primary’s final stretch reporting more than $1.3 million in cash on hand.
“I’m so grateful to everyone who has put their confidence in this campaign,” Dandiya said.
“This incredible outpouring of support sends a clear message that people are ready for a new generation of leadership focused on solving problems. Together, we’ve built a campaign powered by neighbors, parents, educators, and community leaders who believe South Florida deserves someone who will fight for affordable healthcare, a stronger economy, and opportunities for every family.”
The fundraising reflects substantial grassroots engagement, Dandiya’s camp said Wednesday. More than 11,000 individual donors have contributed to Dandiya’s campaign, her team said, with 94% of second-quarter contributions coming from donors giving less than $100. Contributions have come from all 50 states.
